Yeah, Japan is an interesting place. I have been in Singapore too, but its too disciplined there.. hehe.. In Germany one hates the weather really, it changes from time to time.. really horrible. But I dont like so much heat, just one cosy place, with a balanced weather.. Would that country/place exist or just in my dreams?? biggrin.gif

Well since I have lived in South Florida all of my life and am very tired of not having any seasons I would love to live in Slovakia. I have visited the country several times and I love it. (yes I have been there when there was snow) LOL. Cold does not bother me much. I am getting to not like the heat so much any more.

Well it seems that most people dont want to live in the country in which they were born in and that is the same for me smile.gif

I have spent a lot of time in southeast asia and i lived in Thailand for a while a few years back. Thailand is a great place to live and i always enjoyed my time there .The Philippines has a lot to offer and the people there are much more pro western. There is much less of a culture clash in the Philippines and thats why i prefer it over Thailand. English is widely spoken in the Philippines and the people are great. The white sand beach on boracay island is better than any beach you will find in Thailand wink.gif

I will probably end up living in a condo in makati but who knows when wink.gif

OF COURSE SWITZERLAND,The white cross on the red back (see top left on each page) has a religious background. The cross represents the cross, Jesus was put on, the red color represents his blood.
Each arm of the cross has to be of the same size and must be 1/6 longer than wide.

tHE SYSTEM IS VERY GREAT AND VERY CLEAN;COZ I LOVE CLEANLINESS EVEN AT HOME;I DONT LIKE MESS:::aNYWAY I STILL LOVE Philippines, who knows what futures bring....vielen dank und bis bald....

Hmm ok i open this topic, this is my new profile... I really dont think that someone wish to live in Scandinavia, Switzerland or Germany. I visited a lot of countries in this world, but definitely i never could live in next:
Sweden
Denmark
Norway
Finland
Germany
Switzerland
Uk
I am little bit out of rules and i dont like order and discipline. I am not robot to wake up every morning at 9 and spend whole my day in office! After that go home, jump in pijama and seep till tomorow. With all that robot life to eat shit food like in those countries, have shit weather and waiting for weekend to get drunk becuase i am angry on my slef that i living there and wasting my life!
I am more for Dominican Republic- Greece (Those 2 countries i living at moment)
Great food, Good weather, beautiful beach, happy and temperament people, No to much order (if you have fast car you can really drive hard not like in those countries when u can buy porsh and u cant drive over 80km/h)
Here people are much more different then in Scandinavia and west europe. Much more friendly, much more lazy and if you are lazy like me then you are not exceptions smile.gif
Thailand could be good choice, i thinking in future about asia because i never been there, maybe Vietnam or some country like that.
Kisses

Well it seems that most people dont want to live in the country in which they were born in and that is the same for me  smile.gif

It seems that most people want to move to Western Europe because of the high standard of living. Europe seems nice but I don't think I'd be welcome there or would have a job. Europe's population is shrinking so they're experimenting with immigration, to be more like The United States. Old people are getting older and aren't having enough children to replace themselves with.

Immigration isn't popular in Europe. Europe's made up of homogeneous societies where everyone is alike. It's difficult for them to incorporate new ideas and new people because their national identities are built around things like ethnicity culture, language...Europe is anything but progressive. They can't can't be. Why? Let me explain. If a shitload of people who aren't white, speak French or embrace a Western secular democracy emigrate to France, then France won't be France anymore. A lot of European immigrants are people from former colonies who hold more radical views nowadays than let's say in the 1920s. When immigrants come to Europe, if they're dark skinned and Muslim, and low-skilled, they face systematic discriminaton. Employers tend to not want to hire them in the job market. (It's normal in some places in Europe for the unemployment rate to be 10 percent.)They end up on the state welfare system. Sometimes, some of them fall into despair and join terrorist organizations.

So back to the question. Where would I want to live? Where life is cheap, where there are good job opportunities and there aren't too many people. Unfortunately, where life's cheap there are too many people which means there's less of everything to go around which means a lower standard of living.

I'm living in the United States where things are better if you're an immigrant or upper middle-class and up. If you're in the middle, good luck.

Well yes the standard of living here is high and most people get paid well for what work they do, the downside is everything here is expensive

of course this has attracted a lot of workers from eastern europe wink.gif

I hadn't realize it was that uptight in Europe. However, that being said. I still find many of the sites there (from what I've seen in culture mags), very amazing and it still captures my attention.

Amazing how people know nothing about good and quality life... I am from very poor country originaly, country with few wars in last 15 years and i know very good what is poorness. When i growned up i decide to leave my country and go western europe. I been in all European country and i can say there is shit life! People become robots and marionets of capitalism, they are used to work and nothing else. They never made enough money to go farther , they make money exactly enough for life, for bills, house, food and clothe. Once in year they take 15 days vacantion and that is all. U just become person without wish, without soul who paying taxes and giving your life to society. I saw much happiest people in Dominican Republic for example, even they are so poor they are completely different then western european people.
I living right now in Greece, its beautiful country with great food, amazing culture, beautiful sea and beaches. Still it is in Europe but so much different then Germany for example. We just should live our life because life is very short. And i dont wish to spend it in rainy UK or could Norvay smile.gif
Cheers for all

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM. . . city of multi culture and diversity yet the culture and heritage of british is still being preserved and observed to show to the whole world what is UNITED KINGDOM yesterday. . .today and for the future generation to have a chance to learn what is all about their forefathers and beginning. A place in the world that tolerance with life and living of each individual is being practice and in reciprocal way irregardless of who you are and what you are. A land of equal opportunity and open minded people.

Have you tried to live in LONDON, UK?

Have u been ever in Argentina, in Greece, in Spain or even Brasil? Ever been with few thousand people buzuki night club to listen live greek music and see what is night life?
Maybe that are just difference in taste but i think something u just cant compare.
What is United Kingdom yesterday? Thief who had colony around world to take from those country all national treasure and bring it to UK? I don't know that culture builded up on that kind of value can be same as you say.
Same United Kingdom who took national treasure from Greece and put in British National Museum and don't want to give back? We speak about same UK?
Same UK who fight in Avganistan And Irak for "petroleum democracy"?
I guess we just have different taste. I wish you great life there smile.gif))

Well said Ms Cortez- I think you have to look at the people not originally from the country in question to be able to judge, and it seems like London is getting a good review.

As for Adicted- me smells a bit of sour grapes over the Elgin Marbles and maybe a hint of jealousy. A lot of people are jealous of the British, they achieved a global cultural impact (eg, the language we are writing in now) from a small, rain-soaked island. Having said that humans have been around for 200,000 years and the British were successful for 150 of those- every dog has it's day I suppose!

Culture? U just didn't give any comment about that UK stoled that Greece national treasure. U just don't give any comment for that half world was british colony.
Open minded people and culture, Maybe inside the country and concerning internal politics. Outside of country, you export death and state-terorism.
Plus cultural and well educated British tourists and football fans who make problems wherever they go.
But we are gone in politic, i have great British friends and they are good people too.
I just don't like that system and UK for me, no thanks!

I have been reading this forum posting with great interest over the past few weeks.

With regards to the Elgin marbles, they were removed when Greece was occupied by the Ottoman empire and probably the best thing to have done in the circumstances.

Even though Greece was the cradle of democracy, they had colony's in the Balkans, Mediterranian Sea, North Africa and the Black Sea and "Ohh" not forgeting Alexanda the great who rampaged through the Middle East, Persia, Afghanistan and ended up in the Indian subcontinent. Come to think about it who can forget the Spartans, whose society was geared for war. If you look at any country/state in the world, at some stage in history acquisition of land through war and occupation was a natural progression of their society and culture.

Just out of interest Adicted what is your country of origin? haven't mentioned that have you?. I suspect its a lot worse than the UK.

One minute your saying were mindless robots, instruments of capitalism and opression, exporting death and terrorism and then mindless football hooligans who are drunk out of their skull's. I think your comments are totally unjustified towards the U.K. and if you have nothing positive to say, say nothing!

You wouldn't be enjoying the trapings of modern life if it wasn't for British innovation and enterprise. For example the jet engine so can swan off and live in your jaded uptopia and the development of the HTML so we can read and digest your mindless drivel posted on this website.

Nobody's perfect except you!

I would like to thank the members who have kept this topic rational and sane.

Can we have a new topic because I think this one has run its course.

When's the next flight to fantasy land for f"!%s sake!

Yeah, true i maybe over reacted but how i said already i know that must of the people are good, i just was trying to figure out what system and country would be nice for people to live, and what is that people looking for in their life. Now i see that i am a bit different and that i looking for other things, not only financial stability and secure future. I am not Greek and i didn't say that Greece is perfect, because of that i looking for other place to live. But i had been in UK London and i have niece who living there 15 years already and i just say that isn't for me. I lived in many countries in last 10 years and i can say that people are much much happiest in poor countries then in west europe where they have much much more. Yeah true Alexander the great was conquistador and nobody said that was good and that Greece is perfect. But still UK was country who had must of colonies in the world. I don't fight with you at all, i just have nice conversation, and i don't see why we should have new topic? I didnt try to ofend you in any of my posts, and u did ofending me.In this conversation where i can learn from your culture and u about mine. I am from country who suffered very much in last 20 years. I am from Serbia, and i can say that i have very personal reasons to be upset and angry with UK gov for all bad they did to me! But still i don't judge UK people for it, because they even know where is my country and what you did to us. I was speaking about western europen counties systems and capitalism, and yeah i over reacted mentioning that all about hooligans and tourists, and i apologize for that.
I am very far away from perfect... About mindless robots, i didnt say that u are mindless i said that you are robots, And yeah you are, working from 9-17, having everything on loan. Your car, your house (i don't speaking about exactly you) your boat. Your country giving you enough for life and to pay food, apartment, cloth and 2x in year to go on vacantion. And next 40 years work, work work, and never stop till you get retired. Then u are not anymore profitable for society and your life is over. You have some more years left and you cant repeat your life and do everything againe. I trying to avoid that and that is only one reasong why i started this topic. If u have any question u can just ask and will be happy to answer.
Ps I don't live in utopia and i am very happy in my life. I rarely say any mindless drivel, i am just sorry that my english isn't better that i can have better conversation with you.
Thanks for jet engine and html but still Nikola Tesla was Serbian... smile.gif

Yes I have heard of Nikola Tesla, educated in Graz Austria, spent a lot of time in France and the US. Famous for AC electrical systems almost a Nobel prize winner.

Robots are mindless because they don't posses intelligence, they are sentient.

Brunel, Telford, Stephenson, Watt, Mitchell, Fleming, Baird, Dyson, Bazelgette, Turing, Mitchell, Hawking, Barnes-Wallace, Rolls, Royce the list goes on and on. Necessity is the mother of invention!

France, Spain, Portugal, Russia and the Netherlands had similar sized empires. Even Austria-Hungary,Belgium, Germany, Sweden and Italy in different time periods.

Yes Life in England is very fast but that's in London and the big cities, no different than anywhere else. Pity you didn't visit Cornwall whilst staying in England. Time has no meaning there, life is very relaxed, nice countryside, reasonable weather.

I should also like to mention that is was a Serbian that triggered World War One, how many millions died for that and then World War Two because things were never settled from World War One. Not even going to bother discussing your recent history, you werent exactly the innocent party there were you! as a nation of course.

There is no perfect society in our world all states/nations are guilty of some injustice on a varying scale of cruelty. I doesnt matter where you live as long as have food in your belly, access to clean water, a roof over your head, the love and companionship of your family and to a certain degree friends you can rely on.

LIFE IS WONDERFUL, LIVING IS DIFFICULT! It will always be like that.

Greetings!
I know some places seem better than others... Just like people too!
But the fact is, it is whatever it supports for each one of us individually, our best wishes and desires, etc...

At this point in my life, home for me is the beautiful Bucks County and the hauntingly Magickal Lehigh Valley as I do love Pagan Wiccan GLBT Pennsylvania here in the US!

However provided the adequate and proper means, the benign and supportive ways and of course the friendly full wings of fortunate and very lucky circumstances I Me Myself could be equally just as Happy/Content in:

In Rio and/or Sao Paulo, Brazil...
Champagne and/or Paris, France...
In London, UK...
In Sealtainn, Scotia too...
In Sydney, Australia...
In Toronto, Canada...

In Hollywood and/or San Francisco, California, USA.

Home is not a place, home is a friendly, delicious and supportive State of Mind...
And it is blessed and very good when we can find "It" au natural and somehow we are able to keep it anywhere that Life may take us to.

After all it is all just "One Earth" - One Flesh - us and our differences while we keep on inventing/making up our stuff, labels and games to play as we always did since the beginning of all time.
It can be so simple but we must have a mind and eyes to see it!

Love and Light,

Sky a.k.a. JD Aeon

p.s. I am also keen on Amsterdam (Dutch Land) for reasons that it is/it has been a part of the world which it is wise/cultured & free enough that if any "Human Being" (of good Financial Means) becomes terminal and must manage his/her pain and unavoidable ending... That human being is free to purchase it all and lawfully/legally... And equally manage the end, oneself! No bullshit of/from any maintream stupid Religions nor any Governments who bed them to intrude!

For me at the moment London is still enjoyable. Mostly because it's where I'm developing my career. London, for anyone interested, differs greatly depending which part of the city you're in. There are poorer, very urban (grey) areas, and then there are nicer, leafier, gentrified parts. It's a very cosmopolitan city, but no city is perfect. London is constantly changing as Billions of pounds are spent every year on developing the city. There's so much to do in London you can have a great social life. And if you get bored, there are plenty of lovely cities in Europe that are just a few hours away.
Anyway for me the plan is to make money in Europe, and buy property in Brazil or anywhere else I find beautiful!

Meanwhile, I'd love a TS to move in with me smile.gif Any girls want to live in central London with a 30yo sexy guy? wink.gif
